Team description:

You’ll work with our Periscope team in Wroclaw, Poland.  Periscope is part of McKinsey Solutions and McKinsey’s New Ventures.  

Periscope leverages decades of McKinsey’s marketing and sales experience helping leading companies improve pricing, promotion, assortments, and performance management.  Periscope’s combination of software, tailored services, and expertise provides our clients with a granular view of their commercial and financial performance by gathering and integrating their landscape of data and information into a central data warehouse.  Clients can use our intuitive interface to make decisions based on advanced analytics and can embed new pricing, commercial, and performance management capabilities throughout their organization.

Position description:

You will work within the Service Delivery team to perform data transformation, modeling and validation activities, as well as to configure applications to client context. You'll have the opportunity to develop you skill in SQL and ETL.

You'll work in close collaboration with the Service Management team. Depending on their seniority and the engagement context, they might work remotely or locally with the McKinsey Consulting Team and/or the client. You'll also participate in the continuous development and improvement of configuration tools, processes and talents.
You will validate raw data quality and transform the data, load the transformed data to an application using manual or automated data uploads, perform quality checks, and suggest improvements to improve data quality. You will also be responsible for developing complex algorithms and visualizations based on discussions with clients and the service delivery team and coding and scripting for automating data transformation and loading.

You'll work on various projects, such as pricing, promotion, assortment advisory, etc. Our aim is to always use the right tool for the right task, therefore there is also large variety in the tools you might be using, like Excel, Visual Basic, Alteryx, SQL, R, Tableau.


Must have:

  • Bachelor/Master degree
  • Fluent english
  • Coding/development abilities (SQL, etc.)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to act autonomously, bringing structure and organization to work
