We are Evidence Lab and work within the Global Research division of UBS. You’ll be working in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park). Our unique data-driven approach to investment research is revolutionizing the industry. Our team is led by visionaries and our culture is like a start-up (without all of the risk).

At the heart of this capability is the ability to systematically collect, cleanse, enrich and analyze unique data about the companies that we do research on. The Data Wrangling team plays a critical role in this and owns the data transformation processes that enable our researchers to extract insights from our data assets.

Position description:

Are you an analytical thinker who loves data? Do you like to develop innovative solutions? We’re looking for someone like you to:

- build complex data transformation processes to enrich data and automate analysis used in investment research
- build and maintain data parsing, standardization, and categorization processes
- work with a global team of researchers, engineers, business and quality analysts
- assist in the introduction of next generation data transformation tools and platforms

You are:

Requirements

Must have:

  • university degree, preferably in a data analysis related field e.g. statistics or economics or computer science
  • minimum 3 years of experience in a data manipulation / transformation role
  • familiarity with data manipulation techniques such as parsing, pattern matching, standardization
  • exceptional analytical skills
  • practical knowledge of a programming / scripting language (SQL, Python, VBA etc.) or BI tools; expertise in Microsoft Excel and/or other data transformation tools
